[She's stuck in solitary for four days, but when she's finally released, she returns to a suite first. While she wasn't one of the "lucky" few forced into sensory deprivation, she still feels gross and would like to wash most of the experience off her before she checks back in with her people.

Sara gets to see her first, however, and she tries not to look as worn down as she feels.]

[There's a half-hearted wave, before she remembers that Sara was in this mess too.]

[Sara tries to do the same, and smiles when she hears Waverly's voice. Part of her wants to vent to a friend, but she also doesn't want to drag everyone down when everyone is going through punishments like this.]

[The fact just makes her angrier, but helps her think they did the right thing in going after Lilith, and the other team going after Lucifer was right, too. Barbas needs to die.]

[She's not quite in meangirl stage, yet. Sleep deprived, having endured her last day of lashings, she manages to give an easy response.]

I'm okay. Nothing I couldn't handle. [She will feel the lash ghost through her flesh for a few days yet with how deep it cut, but her skin is completely healed, so no one will know.]

[Waverly only had one day of lashes, and some of them cut deep enough that she's walking away with faint scars. If she didn't look so tired, someone might mistake her for being fine.

It's a weird feeling, and she doesn't know what to do with it.]

Good.

[Not that it happened, but that it wasn't too much. Part of her may realize that Sara's putting on a brave face, but Waverly thinks it's one of the instances where they're allowed to pretend, for right now, that they're okay.]

(wynonna ends up not getting around to checking on sara until the next morning, as she spends most of her night hovering around waverly and worrying. she does eventually make it to the other woman's room, however, knocking on the door. )

(There's an unhappy muttering from the other side. It's a little bit longer before Sara speaks, a little louder and clearer.)

(She's not budging from her bed right now, head still swimming.)

[It's been a while since she and Sara had had a good girl's night in, and with their time in Mammon's world coming to a close, it seemed like as good a time as any. Wynonna is off doing whatever it is Wynonna does, and with Wade gone, they have the room to themselves for a little while.]

So. I have popcorn, I have wine, and we have a lot of catching up to do.

[After people being taken by dragons, the drama between her friends, being a partial fish at the carnival, and...well, in addition to a black tail that curls up at Waverly's approach, when Sara smiles she shows a couple of prominent fangs.]
