[Sara tries to do the same, and smiles when she hears Waverly's voice. Part of her wants to vent to a friend, but she also doesn't want to drag everyone down when everyone is going through punishments like this.]

[The fact just makes her angrier, but helps her think they did the right thing in going after Lilith, and the other team going after Lucifer was right, too. Barbas needs to die.]

[She's not quite in meangirl stage, yet. Sleep deprived, having endured her last day of lashings, she manages to give an easy response.]

I'm okay. Nothing I couldn't handle. [She will feel the lash ghost through her flesh for a few days yet with how deep it cut, but her skin is completely healed, so no one will know.]

[Waverly only had one day of lashes, and some of them cut deep enough that she's walking away with faint scars. If she didn't look so tired, someone might mistake her for being fine.

It's a weird feeling, and she doesn't know what to do with it.]

Good.

[Not that it happened, but that it wasn't too much. Part of her may realize that Sara's putting on a brave face, but Waverly thinks it's one of the instances where they're allowed to pretend, for right now, that they're okay.]

Have you heard from any of the others?

[Yeah, Sara's not making the mistake of thinking her fine, for multiple reasons. Knowing her own punishments and therefore knowing the others got either the same or similar. For another, she can tell how tired Waverly is. And she was gone.]

[For now, when she's got so much on her mind, Sara's more than happy to play the everything is fine game. Worry about the rest later. Preferably after Barbas is dealt with. Somehow.]

I haven't. Have you? [She hasn't thought to reach out, either. Everything happened so fast, then they were in school, and Sara's nights and days are blurring in the worst way.]

[She shakes her head.]

They had me in isolation for four days. You're the first one I've seen.

[Though next stop is Wynonna, once she feels a little more like herself again.]

[If there's anything Sara knows about the type of person that ends up in Hell, it's that what they don't tell you is always the worst. At least, that's how she's playing this.]

[Her jaw tightens as she considers if Waverly is telling her this? Way worse was done. She can imagine.]

He's dead.

Sara ...

[She shakes her head as she reaches for her friend's arm. It's not that she doesn't think that something should be done about Barbas - she just doesn't want Sara reacting again, out of anger.]

We'll get there. We just need to be smarter than we were this time.

[Her anger burns white hot in the moment, but Sara doesn't let go, not easily. It can simmer for years, twisting and fermenting to something even more toxic far beneath the surface.]

Hopefully fast.

[Her jaw tightens again, grinding teeth, before she speaks.]

I know we can't just rush in, but he hasn't even been here very long, and already he's caused so much harm. He can't be allowed to continue.

[As of yet, she has no idea just how bad it can get. Later, she's going to wish she had tried to take him out that very day.]

And he won't.

[But they'll have to find another way. A way that's less sporadic.]

But I think he was too prepared for us to fight back. We'll have to ... play along a little while. Make him think we're giving up.

[Even the biggest assholes can be lured into a false sense of security.]

I think it needs to be bigger than just us, the sinners.

[She sucks in and bites her bottom lip for a little bit, gnawing it.]

You're probably right. Play along. [But that's such a dangerous line for her. She's about to find out how dangerous not long after when she's brain washed out of her mind and hurting her own friends.]

[As for needs to be bigger, she raises an eyebrow.]

But Lilith and Lucifer seem powerless against him, too.

Unless you think all of us working with the demons could be enough?

I don't know.

[She takes a deep breath, before shaking her head.]

Maybe, maybe not. But it has to be worth something. My sister managed it once, and it was enough to get a curse lifted.

Was that here? Or back home?

[Sara still agrees, thinking it's worth something. Anything. She'll do anything to get Lilith into a better situation, and her friends. Sure, Hell wasn't ideal, but it was better before Barbas.]

Back home. She teamed up with the revenants and forced the hand of the demon who cursed them.

[And it was pretty badass if she does say so herself.]

[Sara's eyes flicker up and down for a second.] Why don't we try that here? Has anyone reached out to the demons? The ones that seem disgruntled with Barbas?

We'd have to be careful, some of them might be faking that to coax sympathizers to talk to them, but some of them are definitely against Barbas.

I'm definitely up for the challenge.

[It's certainly better than being at odds with them.]
